The Magical Product Swap!

Today I have a BIG SURPRISE!
Some of the best teachers I know have gotten together, traded their best products, and made them come to life to help you gather some AWESOME ideas for the 2012-2013 school year!

MrsStanfordsClass

I am so excited! My amazing partner is Britney from Mrs. V's Adventures in Teaching!

Mrs Vs Adventures in Teaching
If you have not checked out her blog...oh my word! She is definitely an up and coming star and you will just love her ideas!

With the new school year fast approaching, we all are looking for some great ideas for the first day of school. Britney has 2 wonderful products for that very special occasion!

and

I started by printing all the pages for each of the books.

Aren't they ADORABLE?!?

I used scrapbook paper to create a sample of the cover.

I plan to use the sample to post on the board with picture clue directions for cut and glue.

Inside each book, the students have a series of independent writing prompts that will you give you a little insight to each of your sweet new students for the year.

At Meet the Teacher, I love to mingle with all the kiddos and parents and show them around. I also like to give them an idea of what to expect on the first day to school. These little babies are copied and ready and will give me the opportunity to explain the activity to my new students and take the nerves out of those first few minutes on the first day of school.

On the first day of  school, the students will find their super cute second grade book and a little snack to munch on as they work on their writing. Gold fish would be fun!

I can see it now.....a calm, quiet, engaged group of second graders sailing through the best first day ever!

For $3, I think that this is a great steal! Add it to your cart because you will absolutely love this activity!

Make sure to check out Jessica at Mrs. Standford's Class for more wonderful ideas!!

I love activities like this that students can do independently and give you a glimpse on the first day of their personalities and abilities.
